This is an epic fantasy and the continuation of the book A Humble Heart. In the first book, the human country of Gemdals is invaded by Northerners, and the human boys Henty and Clese win over an army of Elves to brave the journey to their homeland and retake it. The Resistance starts off where A Humble Heart ends, while the Elven army, now known as the Resistance, is in the middle of their trek to Gemdals. Mystery, adventure, and peril ensues as they encounter wizards, dragons, and Dwarves among other phenomena.
