Homicide witness Kate Bridges flees the protection of the federal government when a professional assassin proves he can find her. After a year on the run she’s exhausted, working as a waitress in a small Pennsylvania town, when her absentee landlord Murph Dolan returns from his second tour of duty. But Murph’s brother is the one who rented the house to Kate, and Murph has no idea his home is occupied by a beautiful young woman. Kate and Murph must overcome their wariness and learn to trust again, as the assassin finally locates Kate.
