- Go to Your Orders.
- Hit “Order Details” for whichever order you want to change. Here, you can alter your address, payment method, delivery instructions, and more.
- Click the “Change” button beneath the “Shipping Address” section. If you don’t see this option, it means that the package has already been shipped and the address can’t be changed.
- Enter the correct shipping information and click the “Save” button to update your shipping information.
Once these changes are saved, you should receive an updated confirmation email with the correct delivery address.
What to do if your Amazon order already shipped to the wrong address
If you couldn’t change your address before your package was shipped, your best bet is to contact the third-party seller. According to Amazon, “In most cases, third-party sellers handle customer service for orders shipped directly from them, unless the order is eligible for Amazon Prime.”
To connect with the seller, go to Your Orders and follow these steps:
- Find your order in the list.
- Click “Problem with order.”
- Select the information you need to change.
- Select “Contact seller.”
If your order was shipped by Amazon to the wrong address, it may be marked as an undeliverable package. These packages cannot be re-shipped, but you will be able to get a refund for the lost item. If you still want to purchase the product, Amazon requests that you place a new order on the site.
